This Privacy Policy describes how Got Light (“we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use Staffinator and related work-related SMS messaging.

SMS messaging consent

We will not send you work-related text messages until you have given express SMS messaging consent. Consent is collected before your first message is sent, using a clear opt-in step (for example, checking an SMS consent box when you sign in to Staffinator or when you add or update your mobile number in your account profile). By checking that box, you agree that we may send transactional SMS to the number you provide.

Consent is limited to operational staffing messages described in our Terms and Conditions—not third-party marketing. You may withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP to any message or by contacting us at staffing@got-light.com. We record the date and source of your opt-in for compliance purposes.

Information we collect

• Contact information: name, work email, mobile phone number, and employment or contractor status maintained in our internal scheduling systems.
• Scheduling data: shift assignments, confirmations, availability, and operational messages needed to staff events.
• SMS interaction data: message delivery status, inbound replies (including opt-out keywords such as STOP), and timestamps provided by our messaging carrier.
• Technical data: limited server logs (IP address, user agent) for security and troubleshooting of the Staffinator application.

How we use information

We use this information solely to operate our workforce scheduling program, including:

• Sending transactional SMS about shifts, schedule changes, reminders, and related operational updates;
• Recording your responses and opt-out requests;
• Maintaining accurate crew contact records; and
• Protecting the security and reliability of our systems.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not share your information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
• We do not use your phone number for unrelated promotional campaigns.

Service providers

We use trusted service providers only to deliver the service, such as cloud hosting and SMS delivery (e.g., Twilio). These providers process data on our instructions and are not permitted to use your information for their own marketing.

SMS program choices

If you previously provided a mobile number during hiring or onboarding, you must still complete the in-app SMS consent step (or an equivalent written opt-in we document) before we send your first text. After you opt in, you may receive work-related texts described in our Terms and Conditions. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP. Reply HELP for assistance or email staffing@got-light.com.

Data retention

We retain scheduling and messaging records as long as needed for business, legal, and operational purposes, then delete or anonymize them when no longer required.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information. No method of transmission over the Internet or SMS is 100% secure.

Children

Our workforce messaging program is intended for adult employees and contractors, not children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above will change when we do.
